Another New Moon Poster: Real or Manip?
[This poster] was on my town’s movie theater page for upcoming movies and it has The Twilight Saga: New Moon title, but it has a pic of Rob on it posing as Edward. I don’t know if it’s legit or not…I’m not sure about it.
There are a ton of New Moon poster manipulations out there, but this one is unusual in that a reader found it on their local movie theater’s “Upcoming Movies” page. So, is this one a real New Moon poster, or is it a fan manip?
The Evidence
Oh goody! It’s another chance to dig through the thousands of photos out there to try to figure this one out. We do like investigating. Did you know there are hundreds of fan-made posters out there for New Moon? There are. And our eyes are bleary from going through them all day. However, as far as we know, there has only been one official New Moon poster released.
At the time that this poster was released, several sources were stating that the official posters would not be worked on until after the shooting of New Moon was completed, and probably would not be released until the summer.
However, the reader indicated the poster shown was found on a movie theater’s website. That sounds rather official.
We went hunting and followed the directions given, and indeed we did find a copy of the poster on the movie theater’s webpage. The webpage lists “Upcoming Movies” and shows the poster artwork for various movies for each release date and cast information.
Interestingly, the webpage does not have movie artwork for all of the upcoming movies listed. If no artwork has been released, a blank rectangle is shown.
So instead we looked at the photo used in the poster. If was a new Twilight Saga poster, it should feature new artwork. However, the artwork being used is from the original photoshoot for Twilight, not New Moon.
Finding the original photo used tells us that that the poster is indeed fan made. Pattinson Anonymous believes that the studio would most definitely use new photographs to do the New Moon posters.As indicated earlier when the teaser poster came out, we probably won’t see official artwork for New Moon until the summer sometime. We couldn’t track down the origin of this particular poster, though. Although we believe it may have come from SpoilerTV. 
A close look at one of the versions of the poster we found shows the SpoilerTV logo on the upper right-hand corner. Whether they branded a fan poster when they used it on their website, or were the ones that originally created it, we don’t know. However, this poster is definitely not official…it is BUSTED.
Ah, time for yet another movie. Rob is spending his early summer in and around the Los Angeles area shooting his next film, Water for Elephants. We can't wait for that one. And Eclipse promotion is calling his name as well. Happy June!As always...

I’m not the typical twilight fan but my late 20?s girlfriends and I had appetizers and drinks followed by a midnight showing. My opinion was that it was much better than Twilight but still not quite right. I really thought Kristen did a wonderful job. The script was better and the funny moments were great. I am a Team Edward woman but the movie makes you become enfatuated with for Jacob. Taylor did excellent. He was by far the best performer in the movie and, in a way that I could not get to in the book, I felt the hardness of Bella?s decision to pick Edward over Jacob. However, I thought the start and ending were really rushed. And at the end there was too much ?coldness? between Bella and Edward. The chemistry did not really come out?.
