Is Rob Dating Megan Fox?
Ever since Robert Pattinson starred as Edward in Twilight, there has been a fascination with his love life. Rumored to be linked with starlets like Natalie Portman and Camilla Belle, the tabloids and even radio personalities like Ryan Seacrest have recently hinted at a new tryst between Robert and actress Megan Fox. Prior to this, Megan Fox was engaged to Brian Austin Green, but reportedly split in February of 2009.
The Evidence
February 22, 2009 Megan Fox is rumored to have “snubbed” Rob at an Oscar after party at Vanity Fair. Celebrity Mania reports:
Robert Pattinson might be one of the most attractive actors on the planet, but Megan Fox was said to be not interested in him at all. The 22-year-old actress, who just ended her engagement to Brian Austin Green, reportedly snubbed the “Twilight” leading man at an Oscars party. A Daily Express source claimed Megan wanted to talk to British actor Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in “The Lord of the Rings” films, more than Robert. “Robert Pattinson tried to chat but she wasn’t interested. Gerard Butler and Jason Statham also headed her way,” the source said. “But Megan spotted Andy. He was chatting to Danny Boyle but Megan saw her chance and made a beeline for him,” the source revealed. “She introduced herself and told Andy how much she loved the Lord Of The Rings films and had read all the books and The Hobbit when she was 10.”
February 24, 2009 US magazine.com reports that Megan Fox and fiancé Brian Austin Green had called off their engagement. US reported of the couple,” The relationship had run its course. It’s completely amicable, and they are remaining friends.”
March 3, 2009 Megan Fox met with director Jimmy Hayward at the Palihouse Hotel in West Hollywood where Fox was reportedly staying as reported on bauergriffin.com.
March 3, 2009 Rob and Megan are rumored to have drinks in the hotel bar where they are both staying. According to bauer-griffin.com posted on March 9, 2009, Megan Fox enjoyed a secret rendezvous with Rob. Sources say they were seen together late at night at Palihouse Hotel in West Hollywood bar/bistro on March 3rd. The next day, Megan was rumored to be seen back in the bar again with Rob. It is indicated Megan recently moved out of Brian Austin Green’s house after calling off their engagement.

March 4, 2009 Megan Fox and ex-fiance Brian Austin Green are spotted shopping at Indigo furniture store on Ventura Blvd before heading back to Brian’s house on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
March 4, 2009 E! Online reports that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are back on and asks, “Were they ever off?”
That’s been the big question since last week’s report that the couple had split. Megan, who’d been living at her fiancé’s house up until then, may have checked into a hotel in West Hollywood on Friday, but she was also seen leaving Brian’s house the morning prior.
And now we have two new sightings of the duo shopping together…
On Monday night, the twosome were spotted stocking up on groceries at Bristol Farms in West Hollywood.
“They just seemed like a normal couple,” says an onlooker. “They weren’t holding hands or anything…She was just sort of following him around.”Then just yesterday, Meg and Brian hit up Indigo furniture store in the Valley before they headed back to his house together.
Megan’s rep had no comment on the supposed split, but now we’re wondering: Did they ever break up in the first place?
March 11, 2009 The National Ledger and other gossip sites report that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green never broke up citing In Touch magazine.

The whispers for the first part of this week have been all about Robert and Megan, including the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt comparisons for Pattinson and Fox.
In Touch reports that despite claims that Megan Fox and her longtime fiancé, Brian Austin Green, split last week, close friends of the couple insist that it’s not true. The magazine notes that “Indeed, though they were rumored to have ended their two-year engagement in February, Megan, 22, and Brian, 35, seem to be sticking to their regular routine: This week, the Transformers star took Brian’s 6-year-old son, Kassius, to school as she normally does, and the pair were also seen holding hands in public.”
“They didn’t break up,” an insider reports exclusively to In Touch. “They hit a rough patch. But in every long-term relationship, people go through ups and downs. These two are very much in love and plan to be together for a long time,” says a friend.
Another friend adds that recently, Megan and Brian, who have been together since 2004, even agreed to seek help for their relationship problems. “In early March, they decided to enter counseling in hopes of staying together,” says the pal.
March 20, 2009 E!Online reported that Megan Fox and on again -off again boyfriend Brian Austin Green were seen shopping at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

According to the timeline above, the date of one of the supposed trysts, March 4th, Megan was also pictured with Brian Austin Green shopping for furniture.
We cannot comment on whether or not Megan and Rob did indeed have drinks at the hotel bar as rumored, but we believe they have not and are not currently dating.

That is the unfortunate downside of the biz I guess, but I have to say that he is doing a great job of “existing” right now.
Just saw TWILIGHT and I was not really familiar with Robert Pattinson. The British actors have the Americans beat — their love scenes are with a depth that the American men just don’t have anymore — I look for Pattinson to get just as big as Brad Pitt. He has something. We could do without the negative reporting — I doubt if Pattinson is as shallow as to have said that he does not “laid” in NY. Believe the guy is more complicated and intelligent than that crude remark. The last scene in TWILIGHT — the dance scene — briefly reveals what we expect from this young actor — he is sensuous yet in a deep way — with his whole being — soul and heart totally committed to that love. Good luck to you, Pattinson. You are a great actor and you will most probably enjoy a long and productive career but don’t forget who puts you in the limelight — the women, young and old, that see the true inner you — not the party guy that the media wants to portray you as but the guy who shows his greatness every once in awhile — you have what other actors at this time don’t have — the capacity to come across as an intelligent, sensual guy who loves with his entire soul and protects the woman he loves. I just have one question, why is it crude for Rob to want to get laid, not just in NY but where ever he is. I mean, he is a 22 year old guy.
He’s a person, not a Saint, not that it is anybodies business but his own if he is getting laid or not. I just thought it was a normal thing to say.
