Were Rob and Kristen Caught Kissing at the Kings of Leon Concert?
Tell me you’re going to do a story about the pictures of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kissing during the Kings of Leon concert. That’s what it looks like to me. Are they finally out as a couple?
The cast of Twilight got a chance to head out to see the Kings of Leon concert in Vancouver. Instead of the really important question that should come from these pictures–how did they snag VIP seats for a Kings of Leon concert… and more importantly, how can we get set up with goodies like that?!–everyone is buzzing on Rob and Kristen’s behavior and the photos that may or may not show them kissing.
The two aren’t hiding around much anymore are they? Is this the smoking gun at last? Rob and Kristen kissing in public? Let’s take a look.
The Evidence
There are a slew of photographs from the night of concert. Most of them are reasonably clear and you can see Rob and Kristen in a lot of interaction. Some of them show the two just watching the concert:
And others show the two talking and laughing with each other:
All of these clearer photos seem to be taken at around the same time. You can see Rob has two beers propped up on the ledge there, Kristen one. Kristen is wearing a white sleeveless tee.
The pictures showing the two in “the kiss” seem to be taken at a different time, probably earlier in the evening. Kristen seems to be wearing a dark jacket of some kind. She must have removed it at some point, because in the other photos she’s in just the white shirt. Rob also only has one beer on the ledge, not two:
Unfortunately, the quality of the earlier photos is not nearly as good. Blowing them up and lightening them up helps a little, as you can see. But it’s still a bit hard to see the details. The above photo is the clearer of the two, we think. You can clearly see Kristen’s head and her ear. You can also see Rob’s beanie, a tiny bit of his forehead and the edge of his ear right above her knee. But what’s going on behind the knee? If you follow the angle of Rob’s beanie, though…his head is looking pretty far down.
For us, the angles don’t match up for a kiss on the lips. Unless Rob is kissing her thigh. Or Kristen is kissing his ear. Or nuzzling his neck. Or something.
Don’t get all dirty now!
The second one you see at the top of our story is a little fuzzier. You can’t even see Kristen’s face. So what’s going on there? Let’s take a look. Hey, we blew it up and broke it down with cute little arrows and everything.
Are you impressed with our mad graphics skills? Yeah, we didn’t think so.
Once again Kristen has her knees propped up on the ledge (evidently, MamaStew never taught her that’s not very ladylike). You can clearly identify her right shoulder and arm as she leans in toward Rob. We think we see her hand on her knee. Rob’s beanie is pretty clearly visible, as is his ear.
Once again it’s the ear. Follow the angle of his head. It looks too low to be aiming for Kristen’s face. Her head would have to be below her knee level for the angles to work out correctly. If you follow her shoulder you can see where her head should be. She would have to be contorting downward in order to be at the level of Rob’s lips.

Honestly, though, the photo is too fuzzy to tell for sure. The angles on this photo are closer than the previous one, but we don’t think it matches up. The knee is in the way, though, so we can’t tell.
Yes, we understand that a lot of you will see the angles and think that is a kiss. That’s okay. It’s a possibility. But we’re looking at the angles and we don’t see it. In fact, we hate to even mention it, but it looks to us like he’s leaning in and she’s talking right into his ear.
The Verdict
We honestly hoped this would be it. Clear proof. Let the arguing cease in the fandom and let Rob and Kristen be whatever the heck they are, one way or the other.
But this isn’t it, in our opinion.
We wish it was it. We want it to be it. We’re sick of the questions, to be honest. But the quality is just too poor, and we don’t think the shots show what a lot of people want them to show.
What we will say is that, overall, the photos of the entire evening do show two people who seem very intimate, happy and comfortable with each other. Friends? Definitely. A couple? Probably so. Proof positive, though? No. Sorry, this photo will have to remain UNRESOLVED.
So, let’s take a deep breath and be happy that the Rob, Kristen and the cast got to see a Kings of Leon concert. And let’s concentrate on the important part.
Like trying to figure out how to wrangle VIP seats for a Kings of Leon concert. Now that is some investigating we’re more than happy to do…

@ Valeriane: I think you’re absolut right. In that pic it is possible that he kissed her. His hands are both on his lap.That what you see on her knee is his hair and you can see her hand by his ear. Can you see her ring ?
Totally agree with you. The angle is wrong. It looks like Rob is leaning in to hear what Kristen is saying and she is talking into his ear and his head is down. Is there chemistry between them? Definitely! Do they look intimate together? Yes! Are they a couple? Maybe. Were they kissing? Nope!
Oh and where you say her hand is on her knee, I think that is Rob’s hair.

OK. I’m not from USA so in my comment can be some mistakes.
I’m a huge fan of ROBSTEN and I hope that they’re kissed, but now I perceive something. So on the concert was really noisy and on the last picture Kristen can say something on Robert’s ear!!! Unfortunately:(

I stillt think there’s something going on there, but it’s not in the photo.
I am completely pro-Robsten, but I don’t think it’s a kiss…if we can believe other stories that Summit isn’t thrilled about this kind of press, look at all the photos from this event: other photos show a couple of rows above them is Wyck Godfrey, the movie’s producer. Would they do this in front of “the boss”? Seems like a bad move. I totally believe they’re an item, but probably wouldn’t kiss in public.
Nope no kissing. I agree with you guys.. his head looks to low. And they are such private people, that I don’t think they would PDA at a Concert when they know that people will be watching them. Concerts are very loud, and she looks like she is talking to him and he is listening to her. THATS ALL!!! Are they a couple? who knows?? Are they good friends? yep for sure. I saw this pic on another website, before the detailed “breakdown” on this one, and I immediately thought it looked like she was talking into his ear. I would love, as much as the next robsten fan, to see some solid evidence one way or another, but this certainly is not it. Oh well!
they weren’t kissing. they’d never risk getting caught in a public place doing that. i highlyy doubt they’d kiss while at a concert with tons of cameras. specially since kristen has a boy friend. i just makes zero since. she’s probably just having him lean in so she can say something in his ear so he’ll hear her. that makes the most since to me. concert. loud music. someone leans in to hear you. doesn’t that seem the most probable?
Have any one of you ever gone to a concert? If you have, then you know that its hard to have any type of conversation. Especially if you have VIP Seats; its even louder. Try having a normal conversation being that close to speakers and the stage. The photos clearly show two people “trying” to hear each other. Nothing else.
I totally agree with you, it doesn’t seems to be a kiss, but as you said, everybody wants this to come true, I confess I was kinda happy for them, but we don’t know, I honestly think they should keep it for themselves for a while, she has just broken up a long relationship, she doesn’t need more gossip around her love life…

Makes perfect sense that it’s a kiss actually, angles and all. She probably did duck below her knee level, and the whole point of having her knee up there is to prevent anyone from getting a clear picture. Honestly, it’s just common sense, not just wishful thinking.

It’s hilarious how some people are trying SO HARD to prove that Rob and Kristen did not kiss. Did anybody think that perhaps the pic was taken a second before or after they kissed, not necessarily when they are kissing? What about the fact that there is NO ONE else leaning to another person the way these two were. They were thisclose, touching. And the picture was taken at a moment when they lights were dimmed. Like a stolen moment. Rob’s head is turned towards Kristen’s face, not her ear as some claim. He was either going at it, or had just kissed her. But it is clearly a very intimate moment. Sigh, some people need to get over it and accept the reality of Robsten.
i love how theyre always next to each other. and people who are saying kristen and taylor are together or dating are soooo out of it. shoooot, kristen and rob have been spending hella time together. theyre so dating. man, i wish they can just go public. free robsten! =)
Hasn’t it ever occurred to you that he could probably have been caught just moving in for the kiss on that pic, hence the awkward angle? The level of disbelief is just… unbelievable.

uhhmm… well, at first i’m really fix to the idea that its a kiss but then now, this is how i see the pic: rob is “leaning” on Kristen’s “knee” and they’re “talking”. hahaha…that’s how i simply see it without all the shock and wishful thinking.=D not very creative right..??
As I said I think you guy’s are great. But maybe you analyzed the wrong pic or if not, you should have analyzed one of the other ones.
This photo, someone lightened and analyzed and it clearly shows that Rob and Kristen are holding hands! To me, that speaks of intimacy far greater than even a kiss. That speaks volumes.

No pictures of robert and kristen so far this week or week end..maybe they are working and maybe not ?
after last week end.. when some idiot took their photos at the king of leon concert..without their knowlege..it looks like ..this week end they might make sure that it doesn’t happened again
thanks to the paparazzi that monopolize the pictures industry..all for gossip magazines..we now are the loosers…..as a year ago ..we were able to log on..and see a picture of robert and his sunny face saying hi..sometime even making a comment..now we see him in hoodies.. his head down..and no wonder sometimes there is as much as 20 camera literally in his face..3 body guard is needed to move them on..just so he could actually walk to taxi or hotel of airport….this makes his life very uncomfortable..but they don’t care..if they don’t harass him they will find someone else..meanwhile we don’t see rob any-more…we will have to wait until the opening of the movie. new moon and eclipse.. .and when his contrac with summit is over he might have his hair cut and vanish..for a long while…

Rob is the HW “IT” boy right now…so every move and hook up is photographed. don’t hate me…but I am one who truly believe that they are just very good friends. yes,, Rob was crushing on her on the early parts of the Twi…but nothing came out of it.
Both should just suck up all the attentions because after Twi saga…another flavor could become popular! We are talking Hollywood after all!

If they are at a concert, it would be obvious that it’s really loud there. Kristen was probably trying to tell Rob something and he leaned in so that he could her her over the music. It makes since to me…
It’s odd the relationship they have, because on the one hand we have Rob, who my best friend says is gay. And this guy never gets it wrong. I think Robert might already have a partner (of the male type) but a lot of gays tend to have lots of female friends better known as faghags who they hang out with, so Stewart could be that.
I think maybe this is the reason why Robert who has described himself as “boring” says he is paranoid of people recording him or hearing what he says. Or how he once when asked if he was dating Kristen Stewart, he flat out said that bizarre, like how could anyone think that two young people of the opposite sex could be paired up.
Just weird…but normal in Hollywood.

I agree with you when I saw the pictures in the magazine to me it looked like two people talking at a concert and in order to hear over the music you have to put your ear to the persons mouth to understand them….I have done this many times with my friends…. he is to far down for them to be kissing each other on the lips…but if they are or arent kissing…then that is their business they are two adults who are single so let them have their life.

My gaydar is pretty stellar. Rob’s body language when he is with Kristen says everything. Whether they are “together” or not, they are clearly crazy about each other. Compare their body language with that of Tom Cruise and his beard, Katie Kool-Aid Holmes, when they are trying to look all hot and bothered for each other. Now THAT’S a closeted gay man.
